This Privacy Policy describes how BDKM LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the mobile game Cobalt: Iron Hero ("the Game") on iOS and Android devices.
By installing and playing Cobalt: Iron Hero, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information We Do Not Collect Directly
Cobalt: Iron Hero does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to play.
Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party Services
The Game uses third-party services that collect information to provide advertising, process in-app purchases, host the global leaderboard, and report crashes and anonymous usage analytics. These services collect information automatically, including:
- Your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS if you grant permission)
- Your device's vendor identifier (IDFV on iOS) for crash reporting
- Device information (model, operating system version, language, region, RAM and GPU specifications)
- IP address and approximate (city-level) location derived from it
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, completions)
- In-app purchase transaction data
- Anonymous gameplay events (mission completions, wave scores, IAP attempts, ad impressions, social link interactions)
- Crash reports (stack traces, device specifications, app version, custom diagnostic keys such as graphics tier and equipped armor)
- Anonymous per-device leaderboard identifier (random UUID generated on first launch, not tied to user identity)
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The Game stores game progress and settings locally on your device (such as mission completion, unlocked skins, and audio preferences). This data does not leave your device.
2. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements (banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads). AdMob may collect and use information as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing & Apple In-App Purchase)
If you choose to make an in-app purchase (such as "Remove Ads"), the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing on Android, or by Apple In-App Purchase on iOS, through Unity's In-App Purchasing service. We do not receive or store your payment card information. Google and Apple handle all payment processing on their respective platforms.

Google Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics
We use Google Firebase services for two purposes:
- Firebase Crashlytics collects anonymous crash reports including stack traces, device model, operating system version, app version, RAM and GPU specifications, and custom diagnostic keys (such as graphics quality tier and equipped armor). No personally identifying information, no email address, and no Advertising Identifier are collected. On iOS, Crashlytics uses the Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), which is anonymous and resets when the app is uninstalled.
- Firebase Analytics collects anonymous gameplay events (mission completions, wave score submissions, in-app purchase attempts, ad impressions, social link taps). These events contain no personally identifying information. On iOS, Firebase Analytics respects your App Tracking Transparency decision and does not collect tracking identifiers if you decline.

Supabase Leaderboard
The Game uses Supabase, a third-party backend service, to host the global Wave Mode leaderboard. When you submit a score, the Game uploads your wave number, kill count, time, score, equipped armor identifier, and an anonymous per-device leaderboard identifier (a random UUID generated on first launch). No personally identifying information is transmitted. The display name shown on the leaderboard is one you choose yourself within the Game and may be anonymous if you prefer.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS only)
On iOS, the Game uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. The first time you launch the Game, you will be asked whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline tracking, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. Firebase Analytics will also respect your decision.
3. How Information Is Used
- To display advertisements relevant to your interests (or non-personalized ads where required by law)
- To process and verify in-app purchases
- To prevent fraud and abuse
- To improve the performance and stability of the Game
4. Children's Privacy
Cobalt: Iron Hero is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below and we will take steps to delete such information.
The Game contains stylized action and combat content and is rated for teen audiences and older.
5. Your Choices
Opting Out of Personalized Ads
You can limit ad tracking on your device through your platform settings.
On Android:
- Go to Settings → Google → Ads
- Enable Opt out of Ads Personalization (or reset your Advertising ID)
On iOS:
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable Allow Apps to Request to Track, or revoke tracking permission for Cobalt: Iron Hero specifically
- Optionally also disable Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads
Removing Ads
You can remove all advertising in Cobalt: Iron Hero by subscribing to Beacon Pass, the Game's weekly subscription. While the subscription is active, all advertisements (banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open) are removed. Subscription benefits also include daily Beacon Crystals, a 2x crystal earn rate, and exclusive armor. Subscription is managed through your device's subscription settings, where it can be cancelled at any time. Removing ads through subscription does not delete data already collected by Google AdMob prior to the subscription start.
Opting Out of Crash Reporting and Analytics
Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics do not currently expose an in-game opt-out toggle, as they are used solely to identify bugs and improve game performance. To stop all data collection from these services, uninstall the Game from your device. Doing so resets your device's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) and your anonymous Firebase Instance ID.
Uninstalling the Game
Uninstalling Cobalt: Iron Hero from your device will delete all locally stored game progress, your anonymous leaderboard identifier, your Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) on iOS, and your Firebase Instance ID.
6. Data Retention
We do not retain personal information ourselves, as we do not directly collect it. Information collected by third-party services (Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, Apple In-App Purchase) is retained according to their respective privacy policies.
7. Security
We rely on the security practices of our third-party providers (Google, Unity Technologies). Game progress stored on your device is protected by your device's standard application sandboxing.
8. International Users
Cobalt: Iron Hero is available globally through the App Store and Google Play Store. By using the Game, you understand that information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
